We apologise for the disruption

... normal service is now resumed. After the torrential rain of yesterday, today dawned windy but clear. We decided to go to the market in Tortosa. It's a lovely market; we visited the spice stall once more, and I bought a beautifully fresh sea bass to bake in salt. As we were leaving, we passed a man sitting at a stall with a chilled flute of cava and a plate of mussels. It was too tempting; we promptly sat down too, and S said to the barmaid, "We'll have what he's having!" It was very civilised, and we enjoyed it so much we prolonged it with some slices of tortilla and a glass of red wine.

It was positively hot in Tortosa. We had a walk around the old Jewish quarter, and then headed home where we lounged on the patio in the sunshine. Later we went for a walk on the beach. The wind and rain had transformed it; what is normally beach was now underwater. "You see," I told S as I snapped away, "the dunes are irresistible." And he had to agree. So, no apologies -- it's another dune! I also found some miniature dunes on the boardwalk -- my spare blip.
