Freezer ready pig

The family headed west & I did some administrative catch-up. Ivan came around just after 2 and we spent a couple of hours butchering one of the pigs we slaughtered last weekend. Once bagged they went to freezer land to join what's left of last year's lamb.

I gave the scraps to the barn's dogs and turned two slabs of skin into crackling. Mmm.

Now I just feel like chilling out, rather than choosing between two competing 50th birthdays. Bah humbug.
