Abbaye aux Dames

Tonight I went to a concert with two friends, as the Salisbury Cathederal choir had travelled over from the UK and were singing in the Abbaye aux Dames (founded in 1047) in Saintes. Salisbury is one of the twin towns with Saintes, and the place was packed, so we were glad we got there early.
It seemed like a lot of proud parents had made the trip over to support the choir, judging by the number of English conversations we heard discussing their journey down here, and which of the sights they had seen so far!
