Dorchester West Station

Very difficult to take an engaging picture of this once rather pleasant Great Western Station on a overcast day.

Hopefully the design shines through, the other aspect on the entrance side was somewhat spoiled by the Dominos Pizza advertising trailer parked outside.

How is the mighty "God's Wonderful Railway" fallen.

The station was opened by the Great Western Railway on 20 January 1857, when it completed the former Wiltshire, Somerset and Weymouth line down from Castle Cary and Yeovil through to the packet port at Weymouth.
