Why did the duck cross the road?

I opened the curtains this morning to see this duck in the middle of the road. He wandered around a bit and then, to my surprise stuck his head in this hole for a drink!

Once the weather dried up Andrew was off to play a testimonial hockey match so I set about preparing the baby room for tomorrow. Can't wait to get the cot up and arrange all the things I've been collecting for months :-)
