Lake Wakatipu

Yesterday, Nick our BBQ bus driver recommended a trip to Glenorchy on the Southern side of Lake Wakatipu.

After an aborted trip to Coronet Peak, (we thought we could find it without checking a map or Sat Nav!), we did a supermarket dash and then drove West then North on the Eastern edge of the lake. Glenorchy was an idyllic little village, which I preferred to Arrowtown. We had cake and coffee in the Glenorchy Cafe, watching the world go by under a cloudless and deep blue sky.

Stunning views around every corner, but this was my favourite.
