Te Buddha that replaced Shiva

In the southern part of Isan, from Khorat to the Cambodian border, there are a series of Khmer temples (locally known as prasat).
This is Prasat Phanom Wan, which dates back from the 9th to 11th century AD. There is a Thai temple & monastery nearby. Originally, this Khmer temple was dedicated to the Indian god Shiva. Nowadays, A Thai Buddha from the Ayuthaya period stands inside and is still venerated.
When I visited this place, there was no other visitor and the entrance was free of charge.
