Bowling in the park

Cae Glas Park in the centre of Oswestry is a great resource for the town. As well as being a beautiful green space with well tended flower beds, fountain and a bandstand for brass concerts in the summer, there are tennis courts, playground, crazy golf and a very good bowling green for crown green bowling. All are looked after by a great set of park keepers who keep it immaculate.

On a Friday morning I meet up with a group of people and we play bowls. It's not serious, no league, just a bit of fun - which is just as well because I'm not very good, any accurate shot is purely by chance! It's good exercise, fresh air and always an enjoyable morning in good company.
The park will no doubt crop up regularly in my blips as it's such a jewel in the town's crown.
