Rhododendron racemosum

This flurry of teeny spidery flowers in two inch trusses is another one of the rhododendron species' world of delights. This small shrub with tiny leaves and miniature flowers is one that I look forward to every year. It guards the entrance just to the right of the gate to the main woodland path which sports many conventional rhododendrons and woodland perennials in our garden.
