The Golden Temple

Amritsar.

And so the catapult which was Shimla sent us forth, jens turned up, was equally uninspired, across the Punjab on a ten hour bus journey to amritsar...

And you just wander off to the golden temple...after dark today due to arrival time...and as you approach you realise that no combination of words or most fabulous photo could possibly do this place justice. It's beauty brought me to the verge of tears. An utterly awesome collection of architecture, beautifully balanced, inspired.

And such a wonderful, welcoming feeling, maybe tomorrow I find words and phrases, today I'm still struck by the experience of going there the first time. It is one of those truly special places.

And utterly, strikingly beautiful...so I make no apology if the next blips are just variations on a theme. It's a place to sit and think...and tomorrow for sunrise....
