Good news / Bad news

Got an invitation to a wedding today. Normally this would be really good news but the wedding is out of town and three days after our baby's due date. This means that the only way we'll be able to go is if the baby is born at least a week early AND everything is going smoothly. The worst part is that these are two of our closest friends and my husband is meant to be best man. I never would have dreamed of missing their wedding. We would have flown anywhere in the world to be there. We really won't know if we can make it until a few days before it but for now our chances are looking like about 10%. It hasn't been a very good afternoon.
