The Life Of Ponty Cyclops

Lewis Williams - Hat Trick Man

I managed to get back to Sardis Road for the first time in a while this evening.

Ponty are on a massive high after beating the Cornish Pirates on Saturday in the British & Irish Cup. It was the biggest win for the club in the semi-professional era in my opinion. I would have loved to have been there, but hey-ho!

Tonight it was back to league action, with the welsh all blacks being the visitors. It was a bit of a stop start affair, played between the two twenty twos, but the pattern developed with Ponty taking their chances and scoring a couple of classy tries, the best was this solo effort by Lewis William from his own ten metre line. Neath fought well and made a contest of it, but Ponty cut loose in the closing quarter and run out comfortable winners. We are clear at the top of the table with a couple of games in hand, so an unprecedented triple is still on.

I met up with Mumph the cartoonist whilst I was there. We had a very interesting meeting with the supporters club after the match. It seems I am not the only mad Ponty fan to stick his head over the parapet now. We are still very small in number, but I was still quite surprised. It was an interesting end to an interesting day.

We managed to sign up a major client this morning. We have been working on a sort of trial basis for him, and he was absolutely delighted with what we have done. It's a major moment in the development of Business Support Centre Ltd.

Happy days!
