View from a Window

Still looking after our grandchildren but stayed over night in their house, so we could look after the lovely Spaniel as well :)

In the morning, this is the view that greeted us from the Bedroom window. A month ago I posted a view from the Law which focused on the Gorilla platform. However, it looks a whole lot bigger here. As you can see, the platform has been raised about a half of the way up the supporting legs to enable maintenance to take place.
On the left you can see the helipad which allows helicopters to service the Platform when it is in location. At night, the rig is all lit up and there is little need for lighting within the house!

In the background, underneath the actual platform, you can see the Tay Road Bridge, which is the more usual view from the bedroom. I have no idea how much longer the rig will be in for repairs but no doubt it will draw the attention of onlookers when it finally is towed away.
