Songkran Day

Today in Thailand it is Songkran Day (when they celebrate their new year).

As part of their tradition they have massive water fights which we had been warned about that would especially take place in the main streets. However lots of guests in our hotel also enjoyed fired water at anybody that cared to join in.

The hotel had celebrations on from lunch time including a parade, Buddha Image rinsing and games. Later on this evening we joined in the Songkram festival having a gorgeous spread of Thai buffet dinner with entertainment from a beauty contest and singing inch from the Pong Lang show with the Andaman Band.
