Over the Bridge

Today we made a visit to Cruden Bay, 20 miles or so North of Aberdeen. It was harder to avoid the clouds today, though the sun did manage to find the odd gap in the clouds. Including when we went for a walk over the bridge and along the beach.

A run on the beach was good training for Red Rum for the Grand National many years ago. It must be good training for me, even though I am not intending much running, let alone leaping over jumps.

Like Findhorn yesterday, Cruden Bay has a long sandy beach, but while at Findhorn there is an embankment of pebbles, here there is only sand running adjacent to a nearby golf course.

Several dogs on the beach enjoying themselves immensely. I would enjoy the beach more without the sound of the gale rushing past my ears. The wind was not as strong as yesterday, but still fairly gusty.

In the late afternoon the clouds delivered the rain with which for most of the day they had appeared to be threatening us. Thankfully not while we were along the beach, adrift with no shelter anywhere nearby.
