Findhorn Bay

A visit to Findhorn today, and the weather looks ideal. What the photograph does not show is the wind. It was ferocious. A walk around the village and across the dunes to the beach was slightly shortened by our desire for some shelter.

We stopped off for lunch at the Kimberly Arms which had a roaring log fire, very welcome after the walk. The pub was busy as a group from Diageo were also there for lunch.

By the time we left the pub the weather had clouded over but the wind was as strong as ever. Without the warmth off the sun the wind felt much cooler. It was a relief to take shelter in the car. Returning towards Aberdeen the sun reappeared.
