Chicken Duty

We’re down at our friend’s in Galloway for a week and being left on our own for a few days means the chickens are our responsibility and it is indeed an alpine sport. This image was taken in front of the upper pastures which extend another 30 feet or so up the hill and 90 feet along. Crampons and an ice axe are essential in the winter, having said that the hens get plenty sun up there which only helps their egg production levels which will mirror our cholesterol levels over the next week. There may be more hen blips to come. Some are pretty, some are funny, some are pretty funny.
