Give Me Shelter From The Storm

I hadn't the heart to shoo this Pied Butcherbird (thanks to an Aussie friend who has corrected my mis-identification) off my washing lines. It's been raining relentlessly for 36 hours now and everything is rather bedraggled.

There are a few towns in northern Queensland cut off by flood waters. We are okay here; I don't know how much has fallen here though a few kilometres down the road they've had almost 10cm in 24 hours.

The weather has meant that I've got on well with book design work today - there's been no temptation to be outside for long!
