Sunny Aberystwith !!!

Amazingly not a contradiction in terms! I spent many a wet afternoon at the cinema here in the 1960s when we were on our annual camping holiday at Aberaeron, down the coast. We used to escape a wet tent for such new releases as' The sound of Music 'and 'A star is Born'.
Today it was glorious ( far too hot!!) and after driving on the Mountain road we went up Constitution Hill on the funicular railway (built by the same man who designed the Lynton to Lynmouth one.)The view from the top was fab as you can see - but unfortunately the camera obscura was broken. We met up with my nephew who had driven his TNT lorry from Worcs. On the way home we stopped at the red kite nature centre and it was wonderful to see these magnificent birds sweeping through the sky.
