Watching the ships sail in...

Took the boys down to Seal Sands today, as a change to going to Hartlepool.

They seemed to enjoy it (all though JJ screamed at every dog he saw, and immediately asked for a cuddle!), and well and truly wore them out.

We didn't see any Seals, but we did see a lot of sand (of which quite a lot blew into our eyes!)

Also saw quite a few ships going into the port.

Once we got home, and after a quick nap for JJ; we then popped back to the Tees. This time it was the barrage at Stockton; where we went for some lunch.

My mum was coping really well with her operation; but quite frankly it was a lot easier for us all to go out for lunch; than me trying to cook at home whilst looking after the boys!

After lunch we watched some of the kayakers going down the white water course. As well as people there generally enjoying themselves, there was a group of firemen (I think from Humberside) who were obviously practising their underwater rescue skills.

Both boys thought the whole thing looked great; unfortunately I forgot to take any camera with me.... so have to settle for watching the ships sail in
