The journey not the destination

The Falkirk Wheel

I caught the train from Edinburgh to Linlithgow and cycled along the canal towpath to the Falkirk Wheel*. It was the first time I had been there, the cycle along the canal was lovely, and I survived a trip through a 700 ish metre tunnel which was mostly dark and had quite a lot of water gushing down from the ceiling, not to mention the murky canal water lurking just off to the side of the slippy path. I was going to the wheel to collect some tickets we had been given for the opening of The Helix park in Falkirk - we both thought they were for tomorrow night, unfortunately we got the date wrong, it's actually on Friday night and we can't go!

Another journey with the best intentions led me to cycle on to Larbert train station in the hope of seeing a poster which one of our students designed, unfortunately it isn't up yet but will be soon.

Still, had a nice bike ride and the best of the sunshine!

*The World's Only Rotating Boat Lift, apparently!
