Whitehall Scenes

The photo: not the best from today, but I like the composition. Also, the Ukraine flags and the fact that I'm standing in the middle of the street taking this photo both freeze the photo in time.

Never seen London so vibrant and lively as today. Not a cloud in sight the whole day and everybody was out. First, we walked through the areas near Trafalgar, Westminster and the London Eye. With the finish line of the London Marathon at St James Park, all the streets were devoid of traffic. I swear, I’ve never appreciated being a tourist here as much as today, London has got some ridiculously impressive architecture. The atmosphere around the marathon was awesome, despite it being impossible to cross. Nothing like the one in Sao Paolo where everybody just ran across when the coast was clear!

After lunch at a pub, we went to Covent Garden. Another part of town that takes on a whole other vibe when everyone is drinking pints outside in the sun, performers are everywhere and lots of people are dressed up for an awards ceremony happening at the opera. We walked around there for a while, before taking a couple buses back home.
What an awesome day! The type that makes me look forward to living in London even more.

peace
