Back Home Today

Today was the last day of our little holiday - and what a fabulous day weather wise. Pretty much cloudless skies and warm sunshine - in complete contrast to yesterday's hat and gloves weather.

After a leisurely breakfast we drove to the northern shore of Ennerdale Water and walked along to the eastern end and back.

No tripod with me today - so for this shot the camera was balanced on a convenient rock - had to rotate image slightly in LR to level out the horizon! This is looking back towards the western end of the lake.

After this we drove past Loweswater and stopped off at tea room for a light lunch (perhaps my journal should be retitled 'Lakeland tearooms we know and love').

We then drove to Buttermere - but it was jam packed - so we drove along Newlands Valley to Keswick then called in at the Reghed Centre for a browse and visited the Wildlife Photographer Of The Year exhibition - some beautiful photographs there.

Back to reality - work tomorrow!
