Seating Just Got A Little More Intersecting

After viewing this image, you understand why it is a great idea to place a wooden cap on top of this gabion wall. First, said cap makes this wall monumentally more comfortable for seating because it shields against the jagged nature of the metal wire. Each edge of the wire, in respect to the outer wall layer, will be bent inward to eliminate the possibility of someone's clothes/body scratching against said edge. Second, this cap stabilizes the wall because there is a greater downward force in comparison to the outward force created from the gabion fill of rock/stone. Overall, this wire-mesh structure is easily containing this fill material, and the wooden cap simply 'caps' it all off for us.
