Sun, Sea, Sand and a Saint

After a rude awakening, I headed out for an early morning walk. It was glorious, but white frost so quite chilly. There were loads of lambs playing in the fields.

We took advantage of the sunshine and headed to the beach again – this time at Low Newton. It was glorious. We could have been in the Mediterranean if it wasn’t for the multiple layers, hats, gloves and scarves. Tiger and BB kicked a ball all along the beach. Ideally we would have walked to Dunstanburgh Castle, but we knew that getting BB back would be an issue. We cut our losses and came back through the dunes by the nature reserve.

Later in the day we ended up at the Lady’s Well, Holystone – a lovely tranquil spot. St Ninian is associated with the site. BB was delighted as his school house is St Ninian!
