Pink Flowers

These flowers used to grow in my mother's garden. I don't know what they are called. They are over-the-top shocking pink. This photo doesn't do them justice. I tried to grow them in my city garden, with limited success. Then after I had been here for several years one came up in the garden. What a delightful surprise. Since then there have been one or two plants each summer.

There are baby starlings in at least two of the nesting sites.
