Plus ça change...

Pleeeeeeeease...

Despite the kids' pleading they weren't allowed to go out and play in the blizzard. We were out for a nice meal with Mr B's family and it didn't seem like their 'going out' clothes with no coats would be wise. They thought they were onto a winner when Aunty B produced lovely gifts for them - of scarves, gloves and hats!

Grand meal, with the conversation that inevitably happens at the end of these family meals:

Elderly relative: That's an awful small coffee they've given you Mr B.
Mr B: It's an espresso.
Elderly relative: Is it cold?
Mr B: No it's warm.

Every time.

Mr B's off out with some friends in Edinburgh, and staying over. Brrrr - not a night I'd choose for wandering about. I'm going to be hiding on the sofa, under a big blanket, with a bar of chocolate and Strictly on the telly.
