Fire and the Paps

This is our campfire on the beach. We've just watched the sun go down over the Paps of Jura. Truly bliss.

It was a rather spontaneous decision to go camping. We set off first thing and travelled to Inverary where there was the obligatory stop for an ice cream and a wander.

Then onto Kintyre and the camp site. Get the tent set up and make the most of the lovely weather. LH had a list of castles he planned to visit, and we were still undecided about whether to visit Gigha and spend a second night.

The weather was so nice, that we decided not to spend it all in the car driving about, and instead went for a nice walk along the beach, before heading off to explore Tarbert (and the castle).

Loaded with ciders and dinner, it was back to the tent to cook on our stove, and then down to the beach to start the fire. Its incredible how much a fire transfixes you!

Great day!
