Spring floods...

Dear Diary,

It is Earth Day - the 44th - and Maine is experiencing unusually high floods because of all the snow this winter. When so much of the US is in severe drought, here we have an overabundance. It is the yin/yang of climate change I guess. It seems that it is always "too much" or "too little".

Thankfully, there has been no major damage and the waters are beginning to recede. There is a subtle beauty to the landscape which finds itself surrounded by waters...the reflections were stunning today. The water was very shallow so the colors of the sand and grass created a painterly effect.

My cup runneth over...
