"Smart-wool"

Late morning we took the girls to a bluebell wood along the Hillfoots - the line of villages at the foot of the Ochil hills. While we left home in the dry, it soon began to rain and then got pretty heavy. Along the way we spotted these sheep and lambs sheltering under a convenient tree. If you look closely, you can see the rain falling so I certainly don't blame them for seeking cover!
Those bluebells? Well they are a greatly diminished this year. A couple of years ago, a woodland management team came along and opened out the canopy of branches. More light does get in but this encourages other plants and the poor bluebells are being swamped. But that's progress for you.
Otherwise, we are not doing too much today; the last few days of running around like blue-a€@ed-flies has taken its toll. We must be getting old(ish)!
