Punch and Judy

Deckchairs and donkeys, Punch and Judy were the essentials of British seaside holidays for several decades.
Starting in Victorian times as health resorts for the rich the seaside towns had, by the nineteen thirties, become the annual playground for the working man and his family.
The Codman Association with Llandudno started in the 1860's and, spanning 4 generations, continues to this day at the entrance to the pier.
The show hadn't started when I took this, and, unfortunately, I hadn't time to wait around.
