Teignmouth

We went into Teignmouth this morning to meet Chris and Jean for a walk and coffee. This was the first time Dylan had met their new dog, Pudding (who doesn't look anything like a pudding), they managed to ignore each other all the time we were together.

The plan was to walk along the sea wall from Teignmouth towards Dawlish now that the rail link had been reinstated. Unfortunately there was still work going on along the sea wall, underpinning large sections that had been washed away during the storms. So we walked along the front then to 26 for coffee where I showed them a selected subset of the photos I took in Spain.

After lunch we returned to the chalet and pottered around making various decorative improvements.

A catastrophe occurred shortly as after we started the walk insomuch as the battery on my camera flashed empty. Normally not a problem as I always carry a fully charged spare, only this time the fully charged bit didn't seem to be there. Luckily I'd taken a couple of pics as we set off, so here is the railway line running under the bridge as it swings onto the sea front heading for Dawlish (it was that or yet another 'leading into the water' shot, three in five days seemed a bit excessive).
