Cockington

Rain was threatened for today so instead of going to Plymouth as planned we stayed local by driving to Cockington.

As it was, after some early morning rain, it stayed dry for the rest of the day.

Cockington, on the outskirts of Torquay, is a picturesque village, all biscuit tin lid thatched cottages and gardens.  There is also Rose Cottage Tea Gardens an ideal place to take a dog with its terraced seating in the midst of a lovely garden.

After coffee and crumpets we went for a walk through the village and up the road to Cockington Court.

This evening we met Colin, Chris and Jean for an excellent meal and drink at The Smugglers Inn between Teignmouth and Dawlish.
