Orient Express in Paris!

The Institut du Monde Arabe is holding an exhibition on the history of the Orient Express in the late 19th and much of the 20th centuries.

Outside the building are displayed a locomotive and four cars, including sleepers, a bar car--which we could pass through--and a dining car, with an expensive restaurant. Inside are two extensive galleries with videos, photographs of all sorts, posters, and every other sort of memorabilia. Altogether we were able to experience vividly what it was like to actually live on the train for the days it took to make the journey from Paris to Istanbul.
