Nature takes over

"People die twice, once when they physical body goes and secondly when no-one speaks their name" This Celtic saying was given to me yesterday by Wee Dragon.

Most cottages on Easdale have been restored but a few ruins remain. Where old buildings have not been restored, nature has slowly taken over and some are disappearing as they crumble and the vegetation slowly covers them. This is one such cottage. There are few traces of the original islanders, although the small volunteer staffed museum is very helpful and enabled me to track down three members of Janet's family who appeared to have fallen off the radar. We spoke all of their names again.
