What Wheels?

Spotted this just before closing time, so had no time to inform what kind of bike I was looking at.

It did intrigue me enough to shoot this strange bike with enormous trail wheels and a price tag of € 3500,- / lets say the equivalent of a cheap second hand car ;-))

Any body who does recognize it and can tell me what the brand is and why they are made? Beach bike?

I found the answer: It's a Surly Moonlander. Also nice to check uot their 'image dump'
