The Purple Finch returns!

Dear Diary,

It is a beautiful morning; a bit cool perhaps but clear blue skies and glorious sunshine. The purple finch has returned too and that is frosting on the cake. Just as the red buds of the crab apple tree are beginning to show...Nature has a way of co-coordinating everything, doesn't she? I haven't seen his mate yet and there is always one nearby. She'll show up I'm sure.
