Today's action: Ambulance by night

It was past midnight, maybe around 1 am. Most people would have been in bed by then. But some were still up, like I was. As was this person steering his car down the road. But then things somehow went terribly wrong and he ended up against a lightpost and a traffic light. The lightpost came down, the traffic light came down, the car was a mess. Impact was pretty intense. It looked bad.

So here's the ambulance. They were not in bed at that time either. They were there, ready and waiting, for people like this driver, or anyone else who need their help. Working the nightshift. Often a quiet shift where coffee and television help to make it till morning. But sometimes the blue lights need to be taken into the night. Those blue flashes in the darkness, they result in nice pictures.

I really hope the cardriver will be fine. But I love the ambulance by night.
