GOLD ...GOLD...GOLD..

... in the 2014 Junior /U23 World Kayak (K1) womens Championships for Ana Satila from Brazil.

She celebrated after with her team mates... and VERY happy ones at that!!

The World Championship comp is on at the Penrith White Water Stadium over this weekend and competitors from around the world here competing.

In this event a proud Kate Eckhardt representing Australia came second.

In the double canoe event the Australian pair of Steven Lowther and Brodie Crawford were careful not to be penalised for touching the "poles"!! (have a look in large to see the eyes!!)

The winners of this Canoe Double (C2) Men Junior Final was won by the pair from Czech... note winners are grinners!!!

And, in this doubles event the NEW ZEALAND pair of Daniel Munro and Luke Robinson collected the silver medal.

All in all whilst not such a good weather day, it certainly was a top International event, which will see our local hero and Olympic medallist Jessica Fox compete tomorrow for the final after taking out her heat in the Kayak (K1) women U23.

Enjoy, and check the smile in LARGE.... AND check this out to see how the competitors had SOME FUN!! Make sure you have the speakers on...
