Another Day, Another Collage!

Last year an independent cinema group called Stow Film Lounge screened some selected movies in the beer garden at The Red Lion in Leytonstone.

It was like Summer Screen at Somerset House, only better.

Oh, and the film I watched on that occasion told the story of Spengler, Venkman and Stantz. A classic from my youth and still laugh out loud funny!

Now I am digressing slightly as ghost hunting has nothing to do with this image.

But Stow Film Lounge has everything to do with it as I had the privilege of attending their regular location at Orford Social Club on this date, for a screening of Paolo Sorrentino's The Great Beauty.

I will not use this space to dissect the various thematic elements present in Sorrentino's movie, simply I will say you should see it if you like your films grandiose and full of thought provoking dialogue and visuals.

Back to Stow Film Lounge; I recommend checking out their future screenings to all lovers of film who find visits to your local mega cinema a soulless experience, punctuated with ignorant patrons who talk or rustle sweet wrappers throughout!

One final thing, you can pre order a pizza when booking your ticket which is ready half an hour before the screening starts.
