Wanderings & Witterings

John Muir, so good they named him thrice!

Scotland's latest long-distance footpath is the John Muir Way, Opened just this week, it stretches 134 miles (215 km) between Helensburgh in the west through to Dunbar on the east coast (John Muir's birthplace).

To mark its opening, various groups from Ramblers Scotland walked various stretches of it on different days during the opening week - the group of which I am a member, Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers, walked the 8 mile stretch from Kirkintilloch to Strathblane on Friday.

When we arrived at Strathblane, there to meet us was not one 'John Muir', but four of them (one wasn't around when I took 'his' photograph).
