Casual morning, got some croissants and enjoyed the sunny morning from the living room. At some point, Eve and me joined up with the bros to have lunch. Anand and Eve made some awesome eggs benedict. Tom and me cleaned up, obviously. At some point, we finally decided to get our asses off tinder and got on some velibs to head into the center. We went to see the Henri Cartier Bresson photography exhibition. Gotta say, it was superb and even the non-photo dudes enjoyed it. Recommended if you’re in town, over the HCB museum itself actually. All his classics are there plus some more obscure work of his. Some of his classic “decisive moment” compositions from the streets are absolutely mind-blowing. I’d actually pay to go back. If anything, it’s worth seeing this shot in large, as it’s meant to be.

After HCB, we got the metro and headed down to Rue de Montparnasse where all the crepe restaurants are. We had dinner with Tom’s dad at Creperie Chez Jeanne which ended up being really good. Nothing like a nice galette followed by a pear and chocolate crepe, all topped with cidre brut.

Then we went on a trek to find an epicerie and get some rhum and beers. We made it to the area in front of Notre Dame, somewhere I remember having good nights with friends (Nuit Blanche 2007!) but it was mostly empty. Still, we chilled to have some drinks and were joined by a Russian street musician at some point and a bunch of random French guys. The guy played music until his amp died, after which we headed off to find a place to chill in Quartier Latin. We found one of the brasseries that stays open all night, all set. And a beautiful bike ride back through the night.
