Turbulence & life right now

So today was probably the last day of tests we're running on our battered BDR rig. Robin, Mahfood and me were doing ink tests to visualize the flow in the channel at different sections. We managed to see some interesting boundary layer effects, its quite cool being able to see what you study in real life. This particular photo isn't exactly relevant but you can see the turbulence quite well. It also appears that some of the flow gets sucked into the wakes behind the barnacles towards the left, which may be interesting to write about in the report. Yeah, the report which is due in less than a week and is less than half complete! Busy week ahead. Thanks to Mahfood for this photo (I helped with the lighting).

No worries though, life is still fun. After the busy day, a bunch of us went down to Anand's for ceviche and tapas. Emma, Eve, Richard, Anand and me ended up having a sick night out at bootsncats (see tomorrow's photo).

peace
