Green-veined white

Denise, the dogs, and I walked to Fordwich today, where we had a pub lunch. There was sun much of the way which brought out the butterflies: orange-tips, large-, small- and green-veined- whites, speckled woods and a common blue too. The orange-tips are particularly striking creatures but I have never been able to get an image of an orange-tip worth having. They fly very powerfully and always seem far too busy to stop. As usual I failed to get a picture; so here is a more sedate species.
