Woolly and Tig

A BBC film crew in St Andrew’s Square today, making a programme for children’s TV. They told me that it's a series about a little girl and her toy spider ”exploring the feelings that children have when faced with new experiences. From a first day at nursery school to meeting a man with a beard, uncertainty and anxiety are replaced by fun and laughter”.

Tig turns off the lights: an episode to be screened next month:

Every blipper in town except Tig has managed to post at least one shot of the pretty lights exhibition, and it’s being dismantled tomorrow. Tig is sad that despite making many attempts, she can’t do the things that her much cleverer friends can do. Woolly the spider shows Tig how to conquer her feelings of inadequacy by saying ‘stuff the bloody light bulbs’, and shows Tig how to sneakily snap the film crew instead.
