Baby Seals

This is my backblip for yesterday. On the way home from Blenheim we revisited the Baby seals. It is truly amazing and awesome. These babies leave their mothers daily and go up a creek under the road from the sea and away up this waterway to a big waterfall where they swim and play. It is quite a distance and quite steep and they scramble up[ over the rocks absolutely masses of them . They apparently go back down to the sea each day and back up again. It is quite a tall waterfall and the water plunges to the bottom with real force and here these little seals play and frolic and fight and then clamber onto the rocks and rest. Their energy is incredible. Cant wait to go back again at a better time of day. We left there and went down as far as Kaikoura for the night and got there just as the weather changed for the worse . Wild windy and wet.
