White blossoms

I am pleased I took this photo early on in the morning while walking Murdoch, as later on we had rain and hail and I doubt any blossoms have survived staying on the trees after that heavy downpour. My favourite Japanese cherry blossoms are all over now, the last few blossoms have been knocked off by the rain and there is now a pretty pink carpet of petals around the base of each tree.

I was shocked to hear about the teacher who was stabbed by a 15 year old pupil, makes you wonder what went wrong that at such an early age there is such a disturbed young man. And miffed to hear about George's engagement...and there I was still hoping he would pop around for a Nespresso with me.
