Beauty

An excellent day. The weather has been warm and sunny, unlike yesterday. I went off in the morning to a Probus meeting to which I was not particularly looking forward. The Lie of the Land was the title and the talk was about old and new maps in the National Library of Scotland. It was utterly fascinating. The presenter knew her stuff and managed to be informative and humorous. What is particularly good is the sheer range of maps available on line and the fact that you can phone for help to identify the map you need or indeed go in and they will help to focus your efforts. Given that I do some genealogy from time to time, it will be very useful. However, when I was looking for a suitable blip and saw this, there was no choice.
