My topsy-turvy life

Neil Finn @ The Lowry
The point of our trip to Manchester was to go and see Neil Finn -from Crowded House- at The Lowry. Neither of us had been there before so we thought, "why not".

It's a very nice venue for a gig but I find theatre gigs quite strange as I'm so used to being on the floor below the stage rather than in a comfortable seat up above.

It was pretty awesome though. As the man himself said, touring under his own name he can draw on 35 years worth of material. As a result we were treated to stuff from Split Enz, Crowded House, Finn, and Pajama Club as well as his solo stuff. In fact I think he might have played at least one track from every album he's been involved with over the nearly 2 and a half hour set. Behind him here is his wife, Sharon, the other half of Pajama Club.
There was a bonus for the first encore too as he introduced Johnny Marr -of The Smiths.
All in all a cracking gig...worth not getting home until 2 o'clock!
