Christmas eve...

Christmas eve was such a bore in Hyderabad, which shops, pubs, malls, Mac D's and everything closed due to the bandh called. The agitation continues and the students continue to be a menace, burning public property, wreaking havoc in the state. Many of my friends who had planned to travel on the long weekend had their buses canceled, trains delayed... Overall, it was a chaos and a sad thing on Christmas eve. The time of giving, for families and friends to get together shop, enjoy and rejoice was ruined by all these incidents. It is quiet unfortunate that politicians only think of themselves. They are giving speeches and aggravating the students, causing them to make a menace of themselves and disrupt normal life in Hyderabad. They realized late at night that it was Christmas eve and called the bandh off. But it was quite late by then, few shops opened up with half closed shutters, i managed to get petrol in the petrol bunk as they had opened as well. But the roads still bore a deserted look on Christmas eve which is a pity. Since the strike is now called off, Christmas should be fine.
